Mero Eastern Scheldt lobster with bisque and vanilla foam Oosterscheldekreeft met bisque en vanilleschuim

Mero, whose menu is overseen by chef Bas Koppenol, has a sleek, modern look and a sunlit terrace. Service is quick and the staff go out of their way to make guests feel at home. The open kitchen and the view over the harbour add to the restaurant´s charm. Especially recommended: the lobster, which is their speciality.

Shirasagi Mackerel marinated in rice vinegar for one hour, served with cucumber, seaweed, Japanese garden cress, sake jelly and pickled radish.

Noted Japanese restaurant Shirasaghi is one of the best of its kind in the region, with Chef Masao Komiyama working his particular brand of magic. The best sushi in town, but Edwin loves to come here for the mackerel.
